Mr. Sanjay Dayal

Mr. Sanjay Dayal commenced as Chief Executive Asia with BlueScope on January 5, 2009. He is responsible for leading BlueScope’s businesses in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Company’s joint venture with Tata Steel in India. Prior to joining BlueScope, Mr. Dayal was General Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Orica Mining Services where he managed its Asia division. Mr. Dayal is based at BlueScope Asia regional headquarters in Singapore.

Mr. Anand Sen

Mr. Anand Sen is President, TQM & Steel Business at Tata Steel and is responsible for the steel business including marketing & sales and for the promotion of TQM across Tata Steel India.

Mr. Sen graduated from IIT Kharagpur as a Metallurgical Engineer and joined Tata Steel as a Graduate Trainee in the year 1981. Subsequently, he completed his PGDBM (Marketing) from IIM, Kolkata and also has an Executive MBA from CEDEP at INSEAD, France. He has worked across Marketing and Sales, Strategy and Business Leadership, Operations and Projects in his more than three decade long career. He led the company’s foray into branded steel from India’s first dedicated Steel Distribution Channel and was associated with the development of specialized steel for the automotive industry. Under his leadership Tata Steel successfully challenged the Deming Grand Prize, the highest award in the field of Quality.

Ms. Samita Shah

Ms. Samita Shah is Group Head – Corporate Finance & Risk Management at Tata Steel. She looks after the financial requirements of the Tata Steel Group and is responsible for raising capital from local and international banks as well as capital markets. Ms. Shah is also responsible for risk management and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wise risk management practice in the Group.

Ms. Shah has over 22 years of experience in financial services. She has executed several IPOs, rights issues, bonds, convertible bonds, project finance, private equity and M&A transactions for Indian and multinational companies. She started her career with ICICI Securities before moving on to JP Morgan where she worked with for over a decade. She joined Tata Steel in 2012. Ms. Shah has done her graduation in BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.


Mr. Charlie Elias

Mr. Charlie Elias joined BlueScope Steel as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in March 2008. He is responsible for finance, treasury, taxation, supply, investor relations, investments, audit and insurance. Prior to this, he was CFO and Director for Linfox Group and CFO, Director and General Manager Strategy and Business Development for TXU Australia. He began his career with Deloitte Consulting as a Senior Consultant. Mr. Elias is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Mr. Ian Cummin

Mr. Ian Cummin has almost 20 years of experience serving on Executive Leadership teams of major Australian publicly listed companies. He has extensive organizational change management experience, including mergers and acquisitions, remuneration governance, executive talent development and industrial relations. He has had key roles in Public Policy Development and Safety Management.

Mr. Cummin joined BlueScope in 2003 as Executive General Manager – People and Organization Performance with responsibility for HR, Corporate Affairs and Safety. He has served as a Director on the board of BUTLER Manufacturing following the acquisition by BlueScope, acted in the capacity of President of NZ Steel, served as an independent Non-Executive Director of IFS – a superannuation investment company with A$40b under management, and is a member of Deakin University Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Group.


Mr. Sudam Maitra
(Independent Director)

Mr. Sudam Maitra, a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Delhi, is currently the National President of Indian Value Engg Society (affiliated to SAVE U.S.A.). Mr. Maitra worked in Bata India for a period of 3 years in Mould Shop. He then joined the TELCO, now Tata Motors, for a period of 4 years in Quality Assurance department. Post this employment, Mr. Sudam Maitra worked in Maruti Suzuki for a period of 31 years in the areas of quality including Supplier Quality, manufacturing, service and supply chain and left the office as Chief Operating Officer (Supply Chain). Currently, he is also Deputy Managing Director of IFB Industries and MD of IFB Automotive Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Maitra was awarded the Supply Chain Person of the year 2013 from Indian Chamber of Commerce. He was the Sourcing Committee Chair person of SIAM and is currently the National President of Indian Value Engg Society (affiliated to SAVE U.S.A.).

Mr. Srikumar Menon
(Independent Director)

Mr. Srikumar Menon, Chartered Accountant, is the Managing Director, South Asia of the Linde Group with responsibilities for the India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka business. He joined Linde India Ltd in October 2001 as a Finance Director and held position of Managing Director of the company from Oct 2008 to July 2013.He took over responsibilities for the South Asia Cluster comprising of India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in Jan 2012 and was formally designated as the Managing Director, South Asia of the Linde Group in August 2013. Mr. Menon has worked in various capacities in Central Govt., Joint Sector, India Private Sector and Multinational companies. Prior to joining Linde, he was Vice president, Finance at Pidilite Industries Limited. He is also council member of the Eastern Region of the Indo- German Chamber of Commerce and is a member of General Committee of CII, Eastern Region and is the chairman of the Economic Affairs, Finance & taxation Sub Committee.


Mr. Venkat Iyer

Mr. Venkat Iyer, Fellow Chartered Accountant, retired as Audit Partner, KPMG LLP, Singapore w.e.f Sept 30, 2015. He was associated for more than 33 years with various KPMG offices, including London, Middle East and Singapore providing Audit and Advisory services. He was Asia Regional coordinating partner for large US multinational groups and also led or worked on IFRS, US GAAP and SOX engagements. He has vast experience in the Audit of different industries, businesses and listed companies. Mr. Iyer held the position of Chairman of the ICAI, Singapore Chapter and is the member of the Indian Business Leaders Group forum Singapore and the Singapore Institute of Directors. 

Mr. Iyer holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Bombay, Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. He is also Fellow Member of ICAI and Practicing Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).


Mr. Riten Choudhury
(Managing Director)

Mr. Riten Choudhury has been appointed as the Managing Director of Tata BlueScope Steel effective from September 1, 2013. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Riten Choudhury was heading the Building Products business of Tata BlueScope Steel since 2010 as a Vice President and has successfully led the business towards sustained growth and high performance.

Mr. Riten Choudhury has a rich experience in Profit Centre Management, Strategy, Sales and Marketing. He has held various senior positions within the Tata group. He has a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur in Marketing and Finance. He is a Chevening Scholar and has been awarded the Chevening Manager for Leadership’ scholarship by the British Government.


Mr. Atul Gogna
(Alternate Director to Mr. Charlie Elias)

Mr. Atul Gogna is the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for NS BlueScope Coated Products, based in Singapore. He is responsible for all strategy and marketing activities for midstream as well as downstream business in Asia and North America. Prior to this he headed Strategy & Business Development for Alcoa Asia Pac and Alcoa Architectural Products, which included significant acquisition work in China and India. He also worked for 4 years for Boston Consulting Group doing strategy consulting for various Industrial and Oil & Gas clients in India, China and ASEAN. Before that he spent 6 years in Indonesia working for Asia Pulp & Paper, where he was General Manager of the specialty coated paper business. He has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and port-graduate degree in Business.
