Ms. Debra Counsell is the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of BlueScope Steel Limited and has responsibility for legal affairs. She is a member of BlueScope’s Executive Leadership Team. She joined BlueScope in 2014, following an international career extending over 25 years in partner and equivalent roles at leading global law firms. Ms Counsell specialises in commercial law, major projects, infrastructure and project finance and has worked throughout Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East advising corporate, government and financial institution clients on various commercial matters, in particular foreign investments, development and strategic projects (including mergers and acquisitions), corporate law and governance, in a variety of industries including mining, resources, energy and defence.

Mr Prabhat Kumar is the Vice President – Flat Products, Marketing and Sales, at Tata Steel. He has held multiple leadership roles across functions in the organisation since 2008 getting deep exposure to the core business, managing stakeholders and high-level management.

Before taking on his current role, Mr Kumar was Principal Executive Officer to CEO&MD, Tata Steel. He has rich experience across Marketing & Sales of both Flat and Long Products and has been instrumental in developing strategies for automotive and construction market segments. Mr Kumar oversaw the launch of several new products to cater to changing market needs. He has rich experience in techno-commercial functions.

Mr Kumar is Mechanical Engineer from B.I.T Sindri and has more than 32 years of rich experience in Tata Steel and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur. He has also completed CEDEP General Management Program at INSEAD, France. He joined Tata Steel Jamshedpur as a Graduate Trainee in 1990.

In addition, he is part of the Profit Centre Councils in Tata Steel and is also a Member of the Board of Directors of subsidiary companies of Tata Steel.

Samita Shah is currently Vice President – Corporate Finance, Treasury & Risk Management. She looks after the financing requirements of Tata Steel Group. She is also the Chief Risk Officer for Tata Steel and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wise risk management process across the Tata Steel Group.

Samita serves on the Boards of several other subsidiaries of Tata Steel like Tata Metaliks Ltd, Jamipol Ltd, Tata Steel SEZ Ltd, Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd and Abja Investment Pte Ltd.

Samita joined Tata Steel in 2012. She has 20 years of experience in investment banking and has led several IPOs, bond issues, project financing, private equity and M&A transactions for Indian and multinational companies. She did her graduation in BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India.

Mr. Anoop Kumar Trivedi has been appointed as the Managing Director of Tata BlueScope Steel effective from 1st January 2022. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Anoop Kumar Trivedi was the Executive Plant Head – Tata Steel Limited (Sahibabad) since May 2018, where he was instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition through “One Team” initiative post the Bhushan Steel Limited takeover by Tata Steel Limited.

Mr. Anoop Kumar Trivedi has a diversified experience spanning over twenty-five years within the steel industry; including manufacturing, erection, commissioning of mills; working closely with technology teams for developing innovative products and solutions for steel consumers across the globe.

A technically sound metallurgist, Mr. Anoop Kumar Trivedi is an alumnus of Institute of Technology, BHU. Being passionate about technology, Mr. Trivedi has developed new processes and products, published papers in several international journals. He has worked closely with several institutions for upliftment & upskilling of societies.

Mr. Christopher Page is an experienced manufacturing executive with a demonstrated history of delivering significant turnarounds with operational and commercial discipline. He has a deep technical understanding of Ironmaking, Steelmaking, Cold Rolling, Metal Coating and Painting, having worked within BlueScope’s operations cross Australia and New Zealand. Chris joined BlueScope in 1993 (then BHP Steel), and is a Materials Engineer (University of Wollongong) with a Master of Business Administration (Australian Graduate School of Management).

Chris is currently the Head of Future Technologies for BlueScope, responsible for the future- readiness of BlueScope to adapt and leverage technologies to respond to carbon-related climate challenges, and helping to implement the decarbonization pathways for BlueScope’s global operations.

Ms. Shah looks after the financing requirements of the Tata Steel Group and is responsible for raising capital from local and international banks and equity/debt capital markets. Ms. Shah is also the Chief Risk Officer for Tata Steel and has spearheaded the implementation of an enterprise-wise risk management practice across the Tata Steel Group. Ms. Shah joined Tata Steel in 2012 after many years of experience in financial services. Ms. Shah has executed several transactions for Indian and multinational companies including IPOs, rights issues, bond and convertible bond issues, project financing, private equity and M&A. She has also advised Government of India on the privatization of public sector companies. Ms. Shah has done her graduation in BA (Economics) from Mumbai University and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. She lives in Mumbai with her family and is an avid reader, gardener and traveler..

Matt is Vice President, Corporate Finance and Strategy at BlueScope Steel which includes responsibility for BlueScope’s Corporate Finance and M&A function and Global Corporate Strategy. In addition, Matt is the Executive Director India for BlueScope with overall responsibility for its investment in India. BlueScope is a top 100 ASX listed company and is a flat steel producer for the domestic Australian, New Zealand and US markets, and is a leading international supplier of steel products and solutions, principally focused on the global building and construction industry. Matt was previously CFO for NS BlueScope Coated Products, a joint venture between BlueScope and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation based in Singapore. The joint venture comprises businesses in ASEAN (Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Brunei) and North America. The footprint of this business also covers Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and the Philippines and employs approximately 3,000 people over 25 manufacturing locations. Matt was also previously CFO for the BlueScope China business and has held other senior finance roles in the US and Australia and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
