COLORBOND® Ultra steel is the ultimate choice for an attractive and long-lasting steel roofing material that offers excellent protection against severe environments. COLORBOND® Ultra steel has been developed primarily for environments in close vicinity to sea, laden with salt spray in the air. The combination of protective coatings and the production process makes it one of the most cost effective and corrosion resistant materials available.
From severe natural to industrial environments, COLORBOND® Ultra steel is one of the most effective building material discovered to combat these harsh conditions. It comes with a 200 g/m2 (AZ200) metallic (55% Al-Zn alloy) coating, which means for every square metre of steel, there is a minimum of 200 gram of 55% Al-Zn alloy coating. With the higher metallic coating class and the unique protective paint system, COLORBOND® Ultra steel is one of the most cost-effective building materials available for harsh environments with other benefits of paint durability as in case of COLORBOND® steel.

With the intelligently formulated technology of COLORBOND® steel as the basis behind development of Spectrum Series, durability is not compromised for aesthetics. The tonal spread of colours has been carefully selected to blend harmoniously with the environment, reflecting the strength and beauty of the tropics.
As light gently washes over the mica particles in the metallic finish, a unique perception of depth is acquired. In addition, the mica particles create an amazing effect as the appearance of the pre-painted steel surface changes according to the varying lighting conditions and viewing angles. Whether it is creating a distinctive architectural feature or regulating the conditions of incidental lightings, COLORBOND® steel – Spectrum Series will definitely complement and enhance the aesthetic beauty of your building.

The higher SRI values indicate a roof whose surface temperature is lower, thereby reducing heat gain in the living space beneath the roof. Green building rating tools such as Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) and Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GBI) encourage using building materials with high SRI values to reduce the intensity and impact of the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect.
SRI Values required by LEED & GBI
